To make a random pattern you can change the size or direction of one motif, one symbol, or one basic shape.
To make a random pattern you can alternate between two or four choices of lines, colors, shapes, or motifs. You can alternate between two or four sizes shapes and colors as well.
It is important to note not to make your alternating patterns to complicated. Keep it simple.
